Graduation Requirements & Academic Program Overview
In the state of Texas, students must earn a minimum of 22 credit hours to qualify for high school graduation. Our self-paced high school program is fully aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) standards and includes all courses required for successful completion. To be awarded an Ilm Preparatory High School Diploma, students must complete at least 25% of their coursework through our institution.
Below is a sample academic schedule for students in Grades 9–12:

We are also proud to offer Dual Credit Courses in partnership with the local community college for eligible students. These courses allow students to earn college credit while still in high school. Additionally, our program includes comprehensive preparation for both the TSI and SAT exams. For more information, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re happy to help! ¹ Students enrolled in the Alim or Alimah Arabic course may fulfill the Foreign Language requirement for high school graduation. A report card must be submitted each quarter in order to record the appropriate grade for this course.
Overview
Ilm Prep Online Academy
Ilm Prep Online is a virtual academy for students enrolled in a full time hifz program in the state of Texas. Students attend a live class on the Zoom platform with a certified teacher once a week after Madrasah hours. Assignments are emailed weekly with a due date for the following week. Students are expected to complete the weekly assignments at home during the week at their own pace. Ilm Prep Online’s choice of digital curriculum is completely aligned with the current Texas state standards for Math, English, Science, and Social Studies.

Technology Requirements:
- A PC or Mac less than 4 years old with a high-speed internet connection.
- A quality headset.
- Updated Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browser.
Technology Skills:
- Internet navigation
- Word Processing Skills
- Email communication (A student Gmail account will be required for students to receive a class link and weekly assignments)
